WinMENTOR status report

Dear WinMENTOR users,

The new interface of the WinMENTOR application was created with the change of the programming environment, as you probably already know. The new WinMENTOR was ported to be compatible with Delphi 10 Tokyo, a modern and high performance version of our traditional Delphi programming environment.

Unfortunately, the interface change led to some (apparently insignificant) bugs, with immediate implications. Starting with version 877.01, undesirable situations have been identified when sending flyers by e-mail, where – for reasons that we will discover in the shortest time – the destination address variable is no longer reset. This leads to an anomaly related to the operation of the memory buffer, with undesirable effects on the transmitted data.
Such an effect makes each employee receive the flyers of all the other employees via email. The good part is that the protection has been designed in such a way that the information in the file cannot be accessed without entering the personal password when the constant “Send flyers by E-mail without password” is set to NO by the user (a setting we strongly recommend! ). The passwords are personal and set at the level of individual employment contract.

We will come back, in the shortest time, with a new version of the application, in which situations like this are no longer possible.
